Once upon a time...Children, look how your great-grandparents used to play! What would you have done at a time when plastic toys, television, mobile phones and internet did'nt exist ?
In the museum, you will meet Emily doing like mom in her doll-kitchen with her baby; her brother Max, with his horse, helmet and cuirass imitating dad serving in the cavalry.
How beautiful they were these Christmas and birthday presents! The doll with mother's own hair, the childrens' gramophone with discs the magic lantern projecting pictures on the wall, and last but not least the gorgeous picture-books.
Good children used to have a kind of penny-box, where a tiny chocolate bar would come out after putting a coin inside. And for the bad ones, the unforgettable whip! |
